I grew up in Youngstown, Ohio, until the death of my mother at the age of 16. Shortly thereafter I moved to Lubbock, Texas to live with a family member. The following year my family moved to Dallas, Texas where my life changed and began to form who I am today! During my early 20's, I had no direction in life until I met my very dear friend (Pierre), who helped me with a lot of issues in the past. At this point my life started to change personally and professionally, propelling me to start working in the retail industry for the hotel division, and eventually into the airport division. About six months after starting with the company, the Vice President offered me a position as supervisor and I accepted, not realizing that this would result in bigger opportunities for my career path. I worked my way up as a Supervisor to a General Manager within 7 years, then continuing in airport retail another 10 years. I have managed locations with sales volumes from $205,000.00 to well over $12,000,000.00 and 250 plus employees at over 21 + stores!

The last two years of my career at the airport in Austin, Texas were the most challenging that I have ever experienced. When 911 happened, it put the world at a standstill, but I knew I needed to use all of my knowledge and experience to get my business on track, and the results were successful! During that time I needed more than what a company could offer me professionally, so I retired at the age of 38. I decided to travel throughout the US and internationally for about 2 to 4 years, and then started a new plan.

I decided to move to Mishawaka, Indiana where one of my friends lives, and thus be able to travel to Ohio as well to visit my father and other family members! This is when the idea of starting a company, (Stone Depot), began. We went into the staging process of the business plan, and one year later we opened the doors for Cottage Stone Works Distribution, Inc. (DBA Stone Depot), on August 1st, 2008. Needless to say, this was another challenge facing me during the meltdown of the US economy. Looking back over the years, growing from a young boy to present, I have had a lot of success in my life. I am very grateful for the wonderful friends and people I have met along the way, as well!
